Roland Rabbit in The Wrong Carrot Encounter

Inspired by the 1940s animation style, I took it upon myself to make my own short in the month I had. The project title was ‘The Encounter’, so naturally I thought of a rabbit, murdering a carrot child and the parents finding the scene of the crime. I’m not too sure how this storyline came about either.

All of the background elements were painted using watercolour and the animation was all done using Photoshop. To compile the finished animation, adding the music and also effects I used After Effects.

The Antithesis

I created this small hand drawn animation in Photoshop, it depicts a goat style character in the countryside after hunting for his dinner. It’s a little strange but more of an experiment than anything else, it is based on a sketch by the artist Kim Jung Gi whom I find very inspiring. However as the title describes this is the complete antithesis of his sketch, it style, movement, composition and subject.

This piece was an experiment in which I wanted to mix papercraft with frame by frame techniques and also a little stop motion thrown in there.
